Barbies

When I was little, my friends and I would dump out all of our barbie clothes into a huge pile on the floor and then take turns picking out which outfits we wanted. We spent hours setting up houses, wardrobes, and characters. I would choose the perfect outfit and scenario: my name is Katie, I'm 22, I sell perfume at ZCMI, I get to drive the convertible and you can have the other car, and my boyfriend is Matt S. By the time we got everything set up, I was no longer interested in playing Barbies.

I decided to start updating my blog again. I spent an hour catching up reading all the blogs I follow, then another hour looking for a new background and changing the layout for mine. And now that its time to actually post something...Im no longer in the mood.

Live Your Truth!

Several months ago I discovered a program called "Dressing Your Truth" by Carol Tuttle. I had read a few of her books before and loved them so I was eager to discover her latest work. I decided to follow the online course and to see what happened. I was not prepared for the amazing changes that were to follow! Nor could I have ever anticipated the doors that would open wide for blessings to pour though!

Like most learning throughout our lives, this has come to me line upon line. The more I learn about myself and those around me, the more beautiful life becomes. My self-confidence has grown, and my self-judgment has diminished. I no longer look at myself in the mirror hating what i see! Its humbling and embarrassing to say aloud just how negative the self-talk and judgment against ourselves can be. Much of that has come from outside ideas and voices telling us how we should look, what we should wear etc. The good news is that it doesnt have to continue!

I am so grateful to have found the Dressing Your Truth program and for the amazing changes I can already see and feel taking place in my life! And Im even more excited to announce that beginning November 1, 2010 I will be taking my hair coloring and cutting skills to work for the Dressing Your Truth Salon! Yay!
